Thiess are seeking Highway truck mechanics with light vehicle experience at our Gruyere project.
Some of the equipment you can expect to work on include highway trucks - watercarts, tilt trays, hino and Iveco flatbed with 9T Hiabs, fire truck, coaster busses, 250T Manitowoc crane & 25T MAC25 Terex crane.
Our Ancillary and light vehicle fleet consist of Toyota, Landcruiser, Hilux, Fortuner, HiAce, EWPs, Manitou telehandlers, forklifts, gensets, bob cats and mini diggers.

Thiess is a contracting services group specialising in mining, civil construction, infrastructure, and mineral processing.
To be Successful in this Role, You Will Possess:
- Relevant Australian Recognised Trade Cert
- Mine site experience as an HRT mechanic
- Ability to troubleshoot and fault find complex mechanical and hydraulic problems.
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance experience
- Experience in an open pit surface mining environment.
- High Risk Work Licence - DG, LF (desirable)
- Air Con ticket & experience preferable
- Excellent communication skills.
- HR Drivers Licence preferable
- Highly motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Good knowledge and ability to follow work health & safety procedures and policies
